New Director of Development Announcement

We are thrilled to announce a significant addition to our leadership team - Amanda Westbrooke has joined us as our new Director of Development!

Amanda brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organization, making her an excellent fit for this crucial role. With a proven track record in fundraising, strategic planning, and relationship-building, she is poised to make a profound impact on our mission and future growth. Her passion for our mission and her dedication to driving positive change align perfectly with our values and goals.

Now in her words!

“It is my honor, privilege, and excitement to announce that I have completed my first week as the New Director of Development/ Volunteer services for the outstanding, community treasure known as NW Furniture Bank.

NW Furniture Bank has been one of my favorite non profits for a while. It has an enormous place my heart and life as I was on my own at the tender age of 14. That experience is with me always and as I serve our community and understand that we are serving our most vulnerable populations. I am very grateful to have the gift of giving back with NW Furniture Bank leading the way in Pierce, South King, Cowlitz, and Clark counties

I will continue with my 23 years as host of Tv Tacoma’s Cityline reporting on the Economic and Cultural Developments in the city of Tacoma.

NW Furniture Bank helps restore hope, dignity and stability in our community by recycling donated furniture to people in need. Willing furniture store partners and local donations provide a steady source of furniture which would otherwise end up in the dump or sold at a loss. We serve victims of domestic abuse, people suffering loss from fire and natural disasters, foster children and especially families coming from transitional housing who are trying to rebuild their lives.
