Little Jimmy

When I saw this little rocking horse, I instantly knew that I wanted it 'to become' a Zebra! "Little Jimmy" wishes for a parent (to be), a grandparent, an aunt or uncle, a nephew or niece, to make sure that he can make a child smile. "Please rescue me so I don't have to run ALL the way back to Kruger National Park."

Thank you for being kind and helping a good cause!

A Dot at a Time

While painting each dot or the small areas on the little back rest, I remembered special moments, someone’s smile, a kind gesture, a birthday, a celebration, an anniversary, a promotion, moving into a new place, the excitement of discovery of one’s options and possibilities and many, many more joyful events and situations which brought me here to this moment in my life. May the new owner of the chairs remember all their own beautiful, special moments and bring a smile to their face as well.

The colorful art of Friendensreich Hundertwasser inspired me to create a celebration with these “little trees of life”.

Art Chair

Colors, forms and numbers play an integral part in everyone's life. This chair is a tribute to my surroundings and my personal experiences. The year I set foot onto American soil for the first time, residing in Fife, Washington, important dates and events are recorded and integrated into the design. The intense and joyful colors depict my passion to live the best and happy life possible. Many times life follows a straight line; yet other times it "throws us a curve". Connecting these eventful dots while enjoying all that life has to offer, reflecting and at the same time looking forward to all that is yet to come were emotions and feelings I felt passionately about.

Pizza Please

Since Pizza is one of the most eaten and most liked foods in the USA, looking at this kitchen cart, I knew immediately what I wanted to do with it. “Pizza Please” is a piece of art, yet it is fully functionally. The cart would look great in a ‘man-cave’ or a bachelor pad or for that matter in any ‘happy’ kitchen. When I was painting the final brush strokes, my husband came into my studio, looked at it and said: “Oh…yum! Let’s have pizza for dinner, please”. Hence it’s name.

My Throne

In each of us lives an ‘Inner Child’. Fantasy, imagination, and magic are important at each age. The innocence of children, their belief that what they see is real makes for wonderful experiences. We shall never forget to dream ourselves! I chose this little children’s chair to create a “Throne” for a special Princess or Prince. May this throne become the seed for many more dreams.
