NW Furniture Bank Needs Your Help All donations welcome

Krussow, David

I grew up in University Place and later Gig Harbor.  My dad was a junior high school woodshop teacher and later owned a custom residential cabinet shop, so I have been involved in woodworking all my life.  I won the All-American Soap Box Derby in 1966 from Tacoma (another woodworking project).  I went to college to pursue architecture and drawing, but cam e back to Gig Harbor to help my Dad with his cabinet shop.  I am currently working for a large custom commercial cabinet company.  My wife and I live in Puyallup with our two dogs.

Snow Ski Chair

The chair is made out of clear cedar with a clear finish and stainless steel fasteners.  When the NW Furniture Bank asked me to do a snow ski themed chair, I searched the web and came up with this Adirondack chair.  The snow skis are recycled from a local ski store.  When I sat in the finished product, it felt very comfortable, but I sensed something was missing.   So I added the two wine glass holders and that made it just right!  Relax and enjoy!
