Serendipity:  the accident of finding something good or useful while not specifically searching for it.

This petite cedar chest brings to mind the mystery of finding an abandoned chest in an attic. Ask yourself this, can you be open to the magic of what’s hidden inside? Serendipity of time, place and happy accident or pleasant surprise has brought you to this object. What will you store inside?

This mini chest dimensions are 15”Hx34”Wx13.5D

Stardust

Remember wishing on stars on warm summer night with warm haze in the air.  Somewhere between a compass rose pointing in one direction, there is always space in-between for wishes and daydreams.

Monarch Summer

Whisk your imagination to childhood’s sunny summer days.  Do you remember watching butterflies drift against clear blue sky?  “Monarch” butterfly cushion hovers on chair back while “Black Eyed Susan” pillow rests on the green seat cushion; bumble bees and ladybugs dance around the chair “skirt”.  Chair color is reminiscent of that blue summer sky with wispy clouds.

Fintan, the Salmon of Knowledge

Inspiration: Fintan, an ordinary salmon ate nine hazelnuts that fell into the Well of Wisdom ( Tobar Segais) from nine hazel trees that surrounded the well. The salmon gained the entire world's knowledge. Moreover, the first person to eat of its flesh would, in turn, gain this knowledge.

The poet Finn Eces spent seven years fishing for this salmon. One day Finn caught Fintan and gave the fish to Fionn, his servant, with instructions not to eat it. Fionn cooked the salmon but when he touched the fish with his thumb to see if it was cooked, he burnt his finger on a drop of hot cooking fish fat. Fionn sucked on his burned finger.  All of Fintan's wisdom had been concentrated into that one drop of fish fat. Throughout the rest of his life, Fionn could draw upon this knowledge merely by biting his thumb. The deep knowledge and wisdom gained from Fintan allowed Fionn to become the leader of the Fianna, the famed heroes of Irish myth.
