Sweet Seat

This little piece was a boring and utilitarian phone bench to stick in a corner. Now it is a warm and inviting, beautiful and still very useful addition to your entry way as a “hall tree” or in your living area as a display stand, maybe a mini bar, book shelf, or a night stand in your bedroom.
I removed a boring door, and added the backdrop for drama and balance, My wife added many layers of paint, and used a matte varnish instead of glossy, to preserve that warm satin look of aged wood. AND all sides are decorated, so it can be placed anywhere.
So say yes to this Sweet Seat, and enjoy!!
Fun in Los Cabos

Come relax in Cabos San Lucas. This little colonial bench was adopted from the Northwest Furniture Bank. Though sweet and demure she begged for some fun and some sun. So a trip to Cabos was called for!!. Many layers of paint were hand rubbed on to create the mature warm glow with tiny dabs of gold here and there glistening in the sun. Even her rattan seat was given a couple of layers of hand mixed acrylic fabric paint to preserve it’s texture and beauty. I hope she brings much warmth and happiness to your home.

Magic Chest

Once a plain white storage chest, this old box has become a Magical Chest, holder of secrets.
On the outside, we have an antique coffee table, with faux drawers on all sides that hold whatever secret wishes and desires you fill them with.
Open it and you have a mini office with cork board on the inside of the lid, a hanging file section, a removable wood tray for office paraphernalia, and lots of storage space underneath. You can stash office supplies, books, magazines, or maybe your favorite Scotch that everyone likes to sample, or those special imported chocolates that you don’t want to share. The removable tray has also been varnished so that it can be used as a serving tray.
