Old mattresses find new purpose in Tacoma
An estimated 30 million mattresses are discarded each year in this country, taking up lots of space in landfills. Two months ago, the City of Tacoma partnered up with non-profit organization, NW Furniture Bank, to put a dent into those numbers.

Rest, Renew, Restart
For 30 years Bill Lemke was bringing in good money as a wholesale furniture representative. He was the guy selling furniture to the furniture stores and he was great at it. Partly because he had his sales pitch down to a science. He realizes that furniture really is more than just stuff, especially when it’s given to someone who really needs it.

10 Year Anniversary Gala
2017 marks the 10 year anniversary of NW Furniture Bank and we are having a Gala to clebrate. The event will be June 1st and held at Historic 1625 Place in Tacoma. There will be a sit down dinner, live and silent auction items and lots of time to visit. We plan to celebrate all year so be on the look out for other activites and events.
